SOCCER WEDDING

We have belonged to the same soccer club for the last 8 years. The boys started at Newark Area Soccer Association (NASA) playing in their rec league. Michael loved the sport, so he moved on to join their select team when he was 12 and has been playing ever since. Then came along Emily a few years ago. She began playing and continued on to join the select team last year. The teams at NASA are called XTABI. That means "good people" in Jamaican.. We have been good friends with the directors of the club over the last 8 years. Scott Nichols who is the girls coach decided to finally get married this year! The first love in his life......you guessed it, SOCCER! He told his fiance, Christine that they must get married at the soccer club and his girls from over the years had to be included in the wedding!!! So, as a young, naive woman in love, she agreed!!! Scott and I said today that it was one of the most enjoyable weddings that we have attended over the years! It was very casual, kid friendly with all of the traditional stuff included! For example, instead of the dollar dance you got to pay a dollar to kick Scott in the butt with a soccer ball! The kids loved it! So did the grown ups! For the girls gifts they all received a personalized soccer ball to remember the special day! We wish the very best to Scott and Christine on their new life together!
GO XTABI!
